
PROSPECTUS
1. AUTHORITY
The
17th South East Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships (SEA JTTC)
will be hosted by the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation (VIETTF) under the
authority granted by the South East Asian Table Tennis Association (SEATTA).
2. DATE
AND PLACE
The
17th SEA JTTC will be held from June 22 to 26, 2011 at the Gymnasium
of Haiduong City, Vietnam

5. PARTICIPANTS
Each country may enter only
one (01) team per category. Each team (Boy and/or Girl) shall consist of not
more than five (05) players of both categories.
In the Individual events of
U18, each country may submit the maximum of four (04) players for the Singles
event, two (02) pairs for the Doubles event and four (4) pairs for the Mixed
Doubles event.
In the category of U15, each
country may submit the maximum of two (02) players (Boys and/or Girls).For The Single even and one (01 ) pair for the Doubles Event
The host country can enter
twice the number of entries for the individual events.

8. ENTRY
AND CLOSING DATES
Entry
form from each participating country must be submitted in accordance with the
regulation laid down by the Organizing Committee of the 17 SEA JTTC as follows:
8.1 Preliminary Deadline for “Entry by Number”
The
deadline for Preliminary entry form by number from each country is 6th
May, 2011.
8.2 Final Deadline for “Entry by Number and
Name”
The
deadline for List of Official Party and Entry by Number and Name from each
country is 24 May, 2011.
Both
entry forms may be sent by fax or e-mail, but must subsequently be confirmed
with the original documents by mailing them to the following address:

9.3 Entry Fee
Each
participating country shall pay an entry fee of USD50 to be eligible for participation
in the Championships.
9.
SYSTEM OF PLAY
9.1
Team Event
Both of Boy’s and Girl’s Team U18
events shall be played as follows:
A vs X
B vs Y
C vs Z
A vs Y
B vs X
All
matches in the team events will be decided by best-of-five (05) games format.
The
competition shall be conducted in two (02) stages.
In
the 1st stage, if the number of participating teams is more than 6,
teams will be divided into two (02) groups and play according to single Round
Robin group system.
In
the 2nd stage, the winning teams will play a knockout system to
determine positions 1-3 (the order of play shall be A1 vs B2; A2 vs B1).
If
the total number of participating teams is less the 6, the competition shall be
conducted on a Round Robin system to determine the winners.
9.2
Individual Event
The Singles competition will be conducted
in two (02) stages.
In the 1st stage, players
will be divided into groups depending on the
number of entries. The matches in 1st stage shall be decided by the best-
of-five (05) games format.
In the 2nd stage, the
winners from each group shall play a knockout-out
system to determine the positions 1 –
3. The semi-finals and finals shall
be determined by the best-of-seven (07)
games format.
9.3
Doubles Event
The Doubles events for Boy, Girl and
Mixed, will be held on a knock-out
system and will be determined by the
best-of-five (05) games format.
10.
SEEDING AND DRAW
Seeding
for team events shall be based on the results of the previous 16 SEA JTTC.
Seeding
for individual events shall be determined according to the number of entries,
and shall be based on the results of previous 16 SEA JTTC as well as the latest
SEATTA Ranking List. The Seeding List shall be furnished by the Chairman of the
SEATTA Technical Committee who shall advise the organizing Committee on the
preparation of the draw.
The
draw for the team events will be conducted on 21 of June 2011 and the draw for
the individual events will be conducted on 22 of June 2011.

The
Team Managers Meeting will be conducted on June 21, 2011 at 6.00 PM.

OFFICIALS’ BRIEFING
The
Umpires Briefing will be conducted on June 21, 2011 at 4.00 PM.
14.
JURY
14.1 The Jury shall consist of the SEATTA
Technical Committee Members, Chairman of the Rules Committee, one nominee from
the Organizing Committee and the Referee who shall have the right to speak but
not to vote. 3 Team Managers

14.2 The Chairman of the Jury shall be appointed
by the SEATTA Technical Committee.
15.
HOSPITALITY
Hospitality
for meals, accommodation and internal transport will be provided starting from
dinner on 21 June to breakfast on 27 June 2011 for each participating country
as follows:
15.1
Not
more than 12 players and 02 officials competing in both the Boy’s and Girl’s
U15 & U18 events.
15.2
Not
more than 04 players and 01 coach or official competing only in the Boy’s U18.
15.3
Not
more than 04 players and 01 coach or official competing only in the Girl’s U18.
15.4
Not
more than 02 players and 01 coach or official competing only in the Boy’s U15.
15.5
Not
more than 02 players and 01 coach or official competing only in the Girl’s U15.
15.6
Same
hospitality shall be provided for extra participants at a cost of USD50 per day
per person for twin sharing room or USD70 per day per person for single room.
15.7
Same
hospitality from dinner on 21 June to breakfast on 27 June 2011 shall be
provided for all members of the SEATTA Executive Committee, Technical
Committee, Chairman of the Rules Committee and SEATTA staff invited by
Organizing committee.
15.8
The
expenses for the travelling, hospitality and allowance of the Technical
Delegate appointed by SEATTA shall be borne by the Organising Committee.
17. The law
of Table Tennis and regulation for international competition
Except
for those provided aforesaid, the present Laws of Table Tennis & Regulation
for International Competitions in the ITTF Handbook shall be adopted in the
Championships.
